Seriously though, this “major” WordPress release contains loads of updates and additions.

Probably one of the bigger updates is that the enhanced site editor allows for more ‘full-site editing‘. Not only can you now more easily edit (and create) your menus, templates and template parts – which are now called synced patterns, but you can actually add and edit post and page content in the site editor.

Also, changes have been made to the aspect ratio in the images and featured image blocks.

One of my favorite additions is the block theme preview which I detail in this mini-series.
