Seriously though, this “major” WordPress release contains loads of updates and additions.

Probably one of the bigger updates is that the default block-based themes are no longer in beta. Yup, the beta tag is gone from the Editor label in the admin’s appearance section of the left sidebar.

Also, changes have been made to the post and page editor’s right sidebar, the block inserter, colorized template parts, and more colored blocks to come.

One of my favorite additions is the style book which I detail in this mini-series.
